How Much Does It Cost to Join Toastmasters in Nairobi? A Breakdown of Fees and Dues

Cost is one of the first questions most people have before visiting a Toastmasters club, and it’s a fair one. Here’s exactly what joining Nairobi Toastmasters costs, broken into what you’d pay to visit, what you’d pay to join, and what you’d pay to stay a member, using the club’s current, published figures.

Visiting as a Guest

Attending a meeting as a guest costs KES 300 if you’re joining in person, and nothing if you’re joining online. There’s no obligation to speak, no signup fee, and no limit on how many times you can visit before deciding whether to join. Most people who eventually join visit more than once first.

The One-Time New Member Fee

When you decide to join, there’s a one-time new member fee of KES 3,300. This is paid once, when you formally become a member, and covers your registration with Toastmasters International as you set up your account and start your first Pathways learning path.

Ongoing Dues

After that, membership runs on semi-annual dues of KES 12,000, billed every April and October. Looked at over a full year, that’s KES 24,000 in dues, so a first year of membership, new member fee included, comes to roughly KES 27,300 in total, with the KES 12,000 payments split across the two billing cycles rather than due all at once. From your second year onward, it’s just the KES 12,000 twice-yearly dues, with no new member fee to repeat.

Dues cover your continued Toastmasters International membership and the club’s running costs, including the venue at The United Kenya Club.

What That Covers

Membership isn’t a one-off purchase. It’s ongoing access to everything the club runs: full Pathways learning content, a mentor paired with you from day one, a meeting role to take on at every session you attend, and the specific, encouraging feedback that’s really the whole point of the program. None of that is metered or sold separately; it’s what the dues fund, alongside keeping the club itself running.

How You Pay

Before You Commit to Anything
